I'm looking for the most moving renditions of this song, preferably ones in which they all nail the vocals. Suggestions?

Ahh, yes. This one is outstanding. I do prefer the Keith-era versions. I think his and the rest of the band's delicate playing during the instrumental part fits the song perfectly. But, this has to be the best non-Keith version I've heard. Thanks for the rec.

Strat is correct. Veneta is my favorite. Though I'd still like to find a version in which Donna doesn't scream, “OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH COOOOME ALIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!” Why can't she whisper that shit? She sounds great when she sings softly.

7/31/71 is another excellent rendition, very enjoyable in Road Trips sound quality. Perhaps just as fine as the Veneta and Fillmore West performances of the song...

Cool. I don't have that Road Trips, but I will check out the AUD.

Veneta is the best one, but you already knew that...

Can't go wrong with that either. Can't go wrong with anything by Gram Parsons.

I've always liked this version (and show):
